Welcome to Pat's Gems homepage. If you would like to come to the Gemfields and fossick for gems or enjoy the history of gem fossicking why not stop in at Pat's Gem's for coffee and a meal. You may also like to purchase some beautiful jewellery made from locally fossicked gems. All work in done in-house by our own Jeweller.
About The owner: Pat Vine arrived on the fields 30 years ago and decided this was going to be her home. Pat first opened a shop in rubyvale doing all her own gem cutting and creating a reputation for quality and good service. Then 16 years ago Pat moved to sapphire to start a tourist fossicking park, gem shop and today a cafe and restaurant and budget accommodation as well.
Gem Cutting: Done on the premises by Darren, who has been gem cutting for the last 10 years. Darren's expertise encompasses every facet of the gem cutting trade and his workmanship provides top quality cut gems. Demonstrations available on request. Jewellery Making: Here at Pat's Gems we have our own trade qualified Jeweller Annette Berry, Annette has been in the trade for the last 13 years and specialises in hand crafted jewellery. We also have an apprentice who does most of our settings and resizes and has started to do some very nice hand made pieces as well. Shop and Staff: The shop is open 7 days a week from 8:30 am until 5 pm. We do close Xmas and Boxing Day and half day Anzac Day. There is a great range of jewellery to choose from 9ct. to 18ct, silver and gold plated, chains, rocks and minerals and a souvenir range as well. Both Pat Vine the owner and Pat Turner are on hand to provide any assistance required.
